‘Baki Hanma Season 2’ is based on the manga, ‘Baki the Grappler’ by Keisuke Itakagi, and is the sequel to the popular anime, ‘Baki’. The anime follows the life of a teenager, Baki, and his quest to take on the title of the strongest in the world. Season 2 of Baki Hanma is divided into two parts, with Part 2, titled ‘The Father vs Son Saga’ all set to release on August 24, 2023.

Baki Hanma Season 2 Episode 11: Recap
In Episode 11, Pickle treats Baki as if he is a plaything and this enrages him. Baki loosens his muscles and lands hits on Pickle which seriously hurt him. Pickle is confused about how Baki, who is less than half his size, has the strength of all his previous enemies combined. Baki has completely intimidated Pickle.
Baki Hanma Season 2 Episode 12: Fighting Pose
Pickle is trembling in fear over how Baki has the strength of the dinosaurs he once fought. Retsu and Hanayama who are spectating the fight, understand that Baki is making use of martial arts well, in his fight with Pickle.
The primitive man does not let Fear hold him back. He uses the walls of the arena to propel him forward toward Baki. Retsu explains that it is similar to a runner taking the starting position in a race, and since Pickle does it using all his limbs, it gives him more momentum.
The two collide but it was Pickle that went flying. Retsu explains that the amount of momentum that Pickle comes charging with leaves him vulnerable from the sides. Baki decides to pee in different spots in the arena, to mark it as their territory.
Baki Hanma Season 2 Episode 12: The Final Fighting Pose
Pickle is enraged and Baki decides it’s time to take him head-on. After exchanging a few punches with Pickle, Baki feels like he just went 12 rounds with Mr. Unchained, Biscuit Oliva, one of the strongest fighters in the anime.
Using his martial arts techniques, Baki easily manages to dodge all of Pickle’s attacks. Pickle is astounded and feels like Baki just ghosted through him. As a last resort, Pickle takes a final fighting pose, which is very similar to Yujirou Hanma’s.
Baki senses that the fight is soon coming to an end and that one of them will remain standing. Baki Hanma Season 2 Episode 12, the penultimate episode, was arguably, one of the best episodes so far. Will Baki reign supreme or Pickle? One more episode to go.
