‘Baki Hanma Season 2’ is the popular sequel to the fighting anime, ‘Baki’. The anime which is being produced by Netflix is based on the manga, ‘Baki the Grappler’ by Keisuke Itakagi. Season 2 of the anime will be based on the ‘Pickle Arc’ from the Manga.
What good would a fighting anime be if the characters are weak, From various fighting styles to the oldest of martial arts, to poison techniques, Baki Hanma has all the fight sequences one could ask for. The anime revolves around the life of Baki Hanma, a young boy, whose sole aim in life is to defeat his father, Yujirou Hanma, ‘The Strongest Man in the World’.
With Yujirou taking the No. 1 spot for the strongest in the list, here’s a list of all the characters in the anime, ranked as per their strength.

10. Katsumi Orochi
Katsumi Orochi is the adopted son of Doppo Orochi and Natsue Orochi. Katsumi is a 3rd Dan Shinshinkai Karate Prodigy and one of the strongest fighters in the series. Don’t let the fact that he’s ranked 10th in the list, undermine his abilities. He is also known as Risaru Uepon (Lethal Weapon)

9. Doppo Orochi

He is also known by many names such as ‘God of War’, ‘Man Eater Orochi’, ‘Tiger Slayer’, and ‘Fist Saint’. In the manga, Doppo has defeated Baki, but he ranks 9th in the list as he is no longer in his prime condition.

8. Jack Hanma
The Steroid Monster, Jack Hanma is the half-brother of Baki Hanma, who also seeks revenge on Yujirou Hanma. When he was young, he reached the limit of his physical abilities and resorted to steroids and antibiotics. He ranks 8th on the list as the drug abuse has some serious side effects, which was seen in his fight with Baki Hanma during the Maximum Tournament Finals.

7. Kaiou Retsu
Kaiou Retsu is an established Chinese Kenpo fighter. At first, he was an antagonist in the show but later become one of the main characters. He trained very hard in Heilongjiang, Bailin Temple to be the heir of the Chinese Kenpo Style. He is also friends with Katsumi Orochi. The only downside to Retsu is his overconfidence in his Chinese Kenpo. He later takes Baki Hanma to the Raitai Tournament.

6. Kaiou Kaku
Kaio Kaku is the greatest and most renowned user of Chinese Kenpo. With more than a century of experience, as well as perfecting his weaknesses, he is one of the best martial artists out there. Only his age draws him back and to 6th on the list.

5. Kaoru Hanayama
Also known as the strongest Yakuza in Japan, Kaoru Hanayama is one of the strongest characters in the world of Baki. He is the second generation boss of the Hanayama Group and his full back tattoo looks like a jigsaw puzzle due to the many scars. His raw physical strength is second, only to Yujirou Hanma.

4. Biscuit Oliva
An assassin working for the U.S Government, he is the Strongest Man in the United States. Oliva’s body is a work of art. His muscles are invulnerable to anything. He lives in the Arizona State Prison where the Government pays for all his expenses. Oliva deeply cares about his girlfriend Maria. One can easily mistake him for being obese but upon closer look, his body is made up of fully developed muscles. He is also known as Unchained. One of the strongest characters, he has been defeated by Baki Hanma.

3. Pickle
Pickle is a primitive man, who was found perfectly preserved in a saline rock formation. He is a giant humanoid who lived during the era of Dinosaurs. Pickle possess very primitive behavior. He relies on primal instincts and slowly adapts to the modern world after being brought to life by Dr. Albert Payne. The trailer for ‘Baki Hanma Season 2’ showcased an intense fight between Pickle and Baki.

2. Baki Hanma
The protagonist of the show, Baki Hanma trains daily for only one reason, to defeat his father, Yujirou Hanma. Baki Hanma hates his father for killing his mother in front of him as a child. Baki when he was 13 decided to take his training into his own hands. Baki first fought in a no-rules arena when he was 15 and went on to become the champion. He is also known as the Champion of the Underground Arena in Tokyo Dome. He defeated some of the strongest fighters in the tournament.

1. Yujirou Hanma
The main antagonist of the anime, Yujirou Hanma works as a mercenary for the government and other organizations. He is also called ‘The Ogre’ (The Strongest Creature on Earth). When he was 16, he defeated the entire army of the United States. He also killed an elephant with his bare hands. He remains undefeated in the anime so far. The only thing that excites Yujirou is a good fight. Father of Baki Hanma and Jack Hanma.
