‘Baki Hanma Season 2’ is the long-awaited sequel to the Netflix original anime, ‘Baki’. The anime is based on the manga, ‘Baki the Grappler’ by Keisuke Itakagi. Season 2 of the anime is based on the Pickle Arc from the manga.
Along with Baki, Yujirou Hanma, Pickle, Retsu Kaioh, Jack Hanma, and Dr. Albert Payne will be starring in the anime. ‘Baki Hanma Season 2’ will be released in two parts. Part 1 titled ‘The Pickle War Saga’ will be available on July 26, 2023, and Part 2 titled ‘The Father Vs. Son Saga’ will be available on August 24, 2023. Hopefully, we will see the duo finally fight this season. Fans can also stream the previous episodes of Baki on Netflix.
Baki Hanma vs Yujirou Hanma – Who Wins?
Baki trains daily for only one reason, to defeat his father, Yujirou Hanma. Baki hates his father for killing his mother in front of him as a child. Yujirou kills his wife so that he can make his son stronger. As weird as it sounds, Yujirou does this with the sole aim of fueling his son’s hatred towards him, to have a good fight.
Yujirou works as a mercenary for the government and other organizations. He is also called ‘The Ogre’ (The Strongest Creature on Earth). When he was 16, he defeated the entire army of the United States. He also killed an elephant with his bare hands.
Baki Hanma when he was 13 decided to take his training into his own hands. Baki first fought in a no-rules arena when he was 15 and went on to become the champion. He is also known as the Champion of the Underground Arena in Tokyo Dome. He defeated some of the strongest fighters in the tournament.
With a fighting style very similar to his father, it will be interesting to see if Bakii can overpower Yujirou. Baki has defeated Biscuit Oliva, who is said to be the second strongest man in the world. In the Pickle Arc, we do see Baki fighting the primitive man. Perhaps if he defeats Pickle, Yujirou will finally accept his son’s challenge.
Manga readers already know the outcome of the fight, without spoiling too much, let’s just say that their fight will be ‘ground-breaking’.
