‘Baki Hanma Season 2‘ is just a few days away. The anime is the sequel to the Netflix Original anime series ‘Baki’ which is based on the martial arts manga, ‘Baki the Grappler’ by Keisuke Itakagi.
Baki Hanma Season 2 will be based on the Pickle Arc from the manga. The trailer for season 2 showcased Pickle’s fight against others in the Baki Universe. Season 1 of Baki Hanma ended with Baki defeating Biscuit Oliva. It will be interesting to see if Yujirou Hanma finally accepts the challenge from Baki.
Baki Hanma Season 2: When will the First Episode be released?
Baki Hanma Season 2 will be split into two parts. Part 1 is titled ‘The Pickle War Saga’ and Part 2 is ‘The Father vs. Son Saga’. The first episode from Part 1 will be available on July 26, 2023, whereas Part 2 will be available on August 24, 2023.
The anime is a Netflix original and will be available on Netflix. Fans can also stream season 1 of Baki Hanma on Netflix.
Baki Hanma Season 2: What to Expect?
Baki Hanma has finally defeated Biscuit Oliva, who is the strongest man in America, and second only to Yujirou Hanma in the world. Baki aims to fight his father, to claim the title of the strongest man in the world.
Meanwhile, Dr. Albert Payne brought back to life a primitive man who was found preserved in saline rock. He is from the era when dinosaurs freely roamed the earth and relies on his primitive instincts to survive. There is speculation that Pickle could be stronger than Yujirou Hanma.
Baki fights with only one goal in mind. To defeat her mercenary father Yujirou Hanma and take revenge for killing his mother. Baki hates Yujirou because he killed his mother in front of him, to make him stronger.
The trailer also included glimpses of Retsu Kaioh, Jack Hanma, and Katsumi Orochi who will reprise their respective roles in Baki Hanma Season 2. Fans have been itching to see the father-son fight and hopefully, we will get to witness it in this season.
