The Real Reason Behind the Whiskers on Naruto’s face
Many people believe that the anime character Naruto’s whiskers appear because he is Kurama’s vessel, but in reality, the marks were there before Konoha imprisoned the Nine-Tailed Fox in his baby body. The truth is that Kushina, who was Kurama’s jinchriki before to Naruto, is the reason why infant Naruto was born with whisker marks. The Nine-Tailed Fox was inside Kushina’s body when Naruto was conceived, and he spent the following nine months growing close to Kurama’s chakra. Naruto would have had the same whiskers even if he had never inherited the monster.
Additionally, it explains why Boruto and Himawari share identical birthmarks. Both of Kurama’s children were born while Kurama was living inside Naruto, which must have been uncomfortable for everyone.
