Tower of God Season 2‘ is one of the most awaited sequels of the year. The show which is a South Korean Manhwa received an anime television series adaptation by Telecom Animation Film. As of March 2023, 12 volumes of the manhwa have been published by Young Com. 

Before receiving an anime adaptation, the show got several mobile game applications and merchandise, especially in South Korea. The show aired from April to June 2020. The original manhwa was released as a webtoon written and illustrated by S.I.U.

The anime is based on a similar genre of shows such as One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, and Made in Abyss

Tower of God Season 2: Release Date

Season 1 of Tower of God aired on April 2, 2020. The show ran for 13 episodes, with the finale of Season 1 released on June 25, 2020. In August 2022, Tower of God Season 2 was announced at Crunchyroll Expo. 

No official date for Tower of God Season 2 has been released by the studio yet, though we can expect the anime to be released by the end of 2023 or early 2024.

Tower of God Season 2: What to Expect?

No official synopsis for Season 2 has been released yet and the studio has kept the plot pretty much under the wraps for now. Season 2 will follow the journey of Bam, a young boy who was not chosen by the Tower but managed to open its gates himself. It will be interesting to see if Bam manages to reach the top of the tower or not.

Tower of God Season 1: Recap

In a world where a tower grants desires to chosen “Regulars,” Bam, who lived in darkness, meets Rachel, who introduces him to the outside world. When she leaves to climb the Tower, Bam vows to follow her. Despite not being chosen, he opens the tower’s gates as an “Irregular,” embarking on a journey that challenges the Tower’s foundation.

Season 1 ended with Rachel betraying Bam. She manages to push Bam off into the Shinsu Lake to kill him and convinces others that Bam was defeated by the Bull. Meanwhile, Bam wakes up in a deep cave, badly hurt. He remembers what Rachel has done and decides that he will climb the top of the tower, no matter what.
