Don't miss

Ranking of Kings is a Japanese fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Sōsuke Tōka. It has been serialized online via Echoes’ user-submitted Manga Hack website since May 2017 and has been collected in sixteen tankōbon volumes by Enterbrain. The story follows the adventures of a little prince named Bojji, who was born deaf and tiny in size, and his friend Kage, a survivor of a wiped-out assassin clan, who understands Bojji’s words despite him being unable to speak. An anime television series adaptation produced by Wit Studio aired from October 2021 to March 2022 on Fuji TV’s Noitamina programming block. The spin-off series Ranking of Kings: The Treasure Chest of Courage aired from April to June 2023. An anime film adaptation has been announced.

The first season of Ranking of Kings consisted of 23 episodes, covering the first eight volumes of the manga. The spin-off series Ranking of Kings: The Treasure Chest of Courage consisted of 10 episodes (19 segments), featuring short stories about the characters and their pasts. As of July 30, 2023, the manga has 16 volumes, with the latest one released on June 30, 2023. This means that there is enough source material for a third season of the anime, which could adapt volumes 9 to 16 of the manga.

However, there has been no official announcement or confirmation about Ranking of Kings Season 3 yet. The anime film adaptation, which is expected to be a sequel to the first season, is scheduled to premiere in 2024. It is possible that the film will serve as a bridge between the first and the third season, or that it will conclude the story altogether. Fans will have to wait for more information from the anime staff or the manga author.
