FLCL Season 4 aka FLCL: Grunge will be the fourth season of the FLCL and sequel to ‘FLCL Alternative’. FLCL (Furi Kuri) is a series created and directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki and written by Yoji Enokido. The series follows Naoota Nandaba, whose life changes dramatically after the arrival of the mysterious Haruko Haruhara. The anime is based on the genre, similar to other animes like ‘Devilman Crybaby’, ‘Neon Genesis’, and ‘SK8’.

After 3 seasons, and almost 5 years later, FLCL is back and the fans are excited. FLCL: Grunge is all set to release on September 9, 2023. The official Twitter account of Adult Swim confirmed that the fourth season will be premiering and FLCL: Shoegaze will be released later this year.
What to Expect in FLCL: Grunge?
No official plot or synopsis for the series is out as of now. Adult Swim has pretty much kept the details about the fourth season under wrap. Montblanc Studios will be working on this season, whereas Production IG will be working on Shoegaze. Production IG is the same studio behind the popular anime ‘Ao Haru Ride’.

Kano Koumoto and her friends lead a rather boring life in their small Japanese town. Every day is just like yesterday, going to school, hanging out with friends, listening to music, but nothing special. As a change of pace, Kano and her friends decide to design a rocket and launch it into space.
However, as they are about to launch the rocket, a robot crashes into it, and a pink-haired woman claiming to be a ‘Galactic Investigator’ arrives at the scene. Kano’s life changes completely as these weird robots keep showing up from time to time.
