If you have been eagerly waiting for the Haikyuu Season 5, you might be disappointed to learn that the anime series will not continue with a new season (Haikyuu Season 5). Instead, the franchise has announced that it will conclude with two theatrical films.
Haikyu!! Season 5 Release Date
The news was revealed at a Haikyuu!! event in August 2022, along with a teaser trailer and a visual for the project.
The films, titled Haikyuu!! Final, will follow the events of the anime’s fourth season and serve as a conclusion to the story of Shoyo Hinata and his volleyball journey.
The visual shows Hinata smiling with determination and the tagline: “Who will we become tomorrow?”
A film kick-off event is planned for August 2023, and the release date for the first film is expected in late 2023 or early 2024.

Haikyuu Season 5: Haikyu!! Final Plot

The fourth season of Haikyuu!!, To the Top, ended with Karasuno High defeating Inarizaki High in a thrilling match at the national tournament. Karasuno advanced to the third round, where they faced their long-awaited rivals, Nekoma High.
The Haikyuu!! Final films will adapt the manga chapters from this point onwards, covering the epic battle between the two teams, as well as Karasuno’s next match against Kamomedai High, which will change the fate of every player.
The films will also feature a time-skip that will show the characters’ lives after high school and their professional careers.
The films will have a total runtime of about four hours, which might seem too short to cover all the important events and emotions of the final arcs. However, fans can hope that the films will deliver a satisfying and memorable ending to the beloved series.

Haikyu!! Story
Haikyuu!! is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2012 to July 2020. The series has 45 tankobon volumes and is licensed by Viz Media in North America.
The series revolves around Shoyo Hinata, a short boy who loves volleyball and wants to become a great player like his idol, the Little Giant. He joins the volleyball club at Karasuno High School, where he meets his rival and teammate, Tobio Kageyama, a genius setter known as the King of the Court. Together, they face various challenges and opponents as they aim to reach the top of the volleyball world.
Haikyuu!! is one of the most popular and best-selling manga series of all time, with over 50 million copies in circulation. It has received critical acclaim for its realistic and dynamic portrayal of volleyball, diverse and likable characters, and thrilling and emotional story.
The manga has been adapted into an anime television series by Production I.G, which aired from April 2014 to December 2020, with a total of 85 episodes and 5 OVAs. Sentai Filmworks have also licensed the anime for digital and home release in North America. The anime has four seasons, each covering a different arc of the manga. The first season introduces the main characters and their rivalry with other schools in the prefecture. The second season focuses on their training camp and their participation in the Spring Interhigh tournament.
