On the official Twitter account of the “Shine On! Bakumatsu Bad Boys” anime has released a new video that opens with the song “Ichiban Hikare! – Bucchigire!” by Takanori Nishikawa.

Tetsuo Hirakawa (e.g. Grimoire of Zero, YU-NO: A girl who chants love at the bound of this world.) directs Geno Studio (Golden Kamuy, Genocidal Organ) and at the same time supervises the scripts. The original character designs, however, are by Hiroyuki Takei, the creator of the “Shaman King” manga. Masafumi Yokota then adapts these character designs for animation. Sachiko Nishiguchi is on board as art director and Satoshi Yano takes over as sound director.
The music is by Yasuharu Takanashi (Fairy Tail, Naruto Shippuden). The ending “Danzai Democracy” will be by Jizo Sonzai. The TV premiere of the anime will take place on July 8, 2022 in Japan. At the same time as the TV broadcast, the work will be streamed in Japan on Amazon Prime Video and Hikari TV. The streaming service, Crunchyroll (Classroom of the Elite) was able to secure the rights and will show the series in a simulcast.
