World Dai Star Anime is being created at Studio Lerche
“World Dai Star” is being created under the direction of Yuu Kinome (“Idoly Pride”) at Studio Lerche. Yasuhiro Nakanishi (“Kaguya-sama”) is handling series composition, while Majiro (“Salaryman’s Club”) is responsible for character design. Ryou Takahashi is composing the music.
The Japanese voice cast includes Manaka Iwami (Tooru Honda in “Fruits Basket”) as Kokona Otori and Ikumi Hasegawa (Vladilena Milizé in “86 EIGHTY-SIX”) as Shizuka, while Sally Amaki (Berett in “Peach Boy Riverside”) voices the character Kathrina Griebel.
The story of “World Dai Star” is by mangaka Takahiro, who is known for his works including “Akame ga KILL!”, its prequel “Akame ga KILL! ZERO” as well as “Hinowa ga CRUSH!” and “Demon Slave”.

The story is set in a world where Dai Star stage performers have achieved worldwide popularity in the 20th century. Sixteen-year-old Kokona Otori pursues her dream of becoming a Dai Star as well and auditions for the Sirius theater group.
