In October 2023, The Rising of the Shield season 3 of the fantasy series “The Rising of the Shield Hero” will launch on Japanese television. Fittingly, Crunchyroll announced that a screening event will be held in four countries in advance.
Season 3 of The Rising of the Shield Hero Premiere Screening
American and French fans can already enjoy the event in July 2023 in Los Angeles (California), Austin (Texas) and Paris (France), after which the screenings will take place in August 2023 in this country in Mannheim as well as in Toronto (Canada). The final screenings are then scheduled for October 2023 in Tokyo (Japan). Exact details will follow in the coming weeks.
The third season of “The Rising of the Shield Hero” is being made under the direction of director Hitoshi Haga (“Made in Abyss”) at Studio Kinema Citrus. Keigo Koyanagi (“Sirius the Jaeger”) is again penning the script, while Franziska van Wulfen and Sana Komatsu are contributing character design.
The 25-episode first season of the Isekai series aired on Japanese television between January and June 2019, followed by the 13-episode second season, which premiered in April 2022. Both seasons are already available on demand on the streaming platform Crunchyroll.
