Baki Hanma Season 2 Episode 5’ saw the two strongest characters from the show have a go at each other. When it comes to raw brute strength, Karou Hanayama is the strongest in the little island nation. Hanayama became the leader of the Yakuza at just 19 years of age. Baki Hanma Season 2 Episode 5 saw the Hanayama have a go at Pickle. 

Baki Hanma Season 2’  is the sequel to the popular anime ‘Baki’ and is based on the popular manga, ‘Baki the Grappler’ by Keisuke Itakagi. ‘Baki Hanma Season 2’ adapts from the ‘Pickle Arc’ in the manga. Baki Hanma Season 2 Episode 4: Recap

Episode 4 saw an end to the fight between the Chinese Kenpo Master and Pickle. Word spread throughout Tokyo of Retsu Kaioh’s defeat at the hands of Pickle. Fighters everywhere are enraged, especially Katsumi Orochi, who hears the news from his father Doppo Orochi.

Meanwhile, Pickle has escaped the holding facility. The primitive man takes on the disguise of another man and is exploring the city. He is dumbfounded at the sights that he sees, which are very different from the Jurrasic era. As he is exploring the city, a truck crashes into Pickle. The episode ends with Pickle creating quite a scene

Baki Hanma Season 2 Episode 5: Pickle vs ShinShinkai School of Karate

Katsumi Orochi, chairman of the ShinShinkai School of Karate, is busy preparing for his fight with Pickle. After seeing what the primitive man did to Retsu Kaioh in Episode 4, Retsu Kaioh appointed the entire school of 55,000 students to look for Pickle. 

Pickle, having escaped, is busy wandering around the streets of Shinjuku, Tokyo. One of the group of members finally finds Pickle. They try to stop him but fail to do so. All of a sudden, Hanayama, the Yakuza boss makes a grand entrance.

Pickle punches Hanayama which sends him flying. The other members of the school also try to stop him but to no avail. Hanayama stands firm in front of Pickle and tells him that he is not leaving. 

Pickle darts into Hanayama and tries to push out of the way but fails to do so. He immediately is baffled by the strength of Hanayama which reminds him of the dinosaurs he fought once. Hanayama easily pushes back Pickle, to Baki, who is waiting for him.

Baki Hanma Season 2 Episode 5: Pickle vs Baki

Baki is in awe after seeing Pickle for the first time. The group of members of ShinShinkai school watched with bated breath, anticipating what Baki would do next. Instead of fighting, Baki offers his fist to Pickle in friendship. All of a sudden, Baki has an adrenaline rush and kicks Pickle.

Pickle does not fight back and instead heads to the arena with Baki and Hanayama. Katsumi reaches the spot and is disappointed that he could not avenge Retsu Kaioh. Katsumi apologizes to the members and vows that he will fight him the next time. 

In the arena, Pickle randomly kicks Baki which sends him flying to the corner of the stadium. He considers Baki really strong and is happy that he finally got a toy to play with. After kicking Baki, Pickle does he victory dance.

Meanwhile, Restu Kaioh meets up with Katsumi. Katsumi begs Retsu to teach him Chinese Kenpo and that they should combine 4000 years of Kenpo with 500 years of Karate. Katsumi agrees and Doppo looks proud of the fact that Katsumi has finally grown up. Baki Hanma Season 2 Episode 5 ended with Baki being knocked out cold by Pickle. It will be interesting to see how he recovers from this.
