Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2: Release Date Announced!

Don't miss

With a fourth season that is utterly packed, Stranger Things‘ final chapter has finally begun. And the event is still ongoing.

Thankfully, season five of Stranger Things is returning in a relatively short amount of time as opposed to the agonizing three years it took for season four to come to our screens.

But there is a catch to everything we hope for, so we must be wary.

Here is what we currently know about the upcoming season.

Just six weeks after the midseason finale, on July 1, 2022, Stranger Things part four volume two will debut.

It has a somewhat different organizational style from the first half and is shorter, including only two episodes.

They will, however, be enormous—literally. It has been announced that the finale will be a staggering two and a half hours long, with the penultimate episode clocking in at 85 minutes.

Whatever transpires will set the way for the fifth and final season of the series, which has been announced and will wrap up the Hawkins saga.

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 Cast: Who Will Be In It?

Currently, all the major players are expected to continue their efforts to defeat Vecna and permanently close the Upside Down.

Along with Millie Bobby Brown (who plays Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Noah Schnapp (Will), and Sadie Sink, this cast also features (Max).

Thankfully, their characters will have the assistance of Robin (Maya Hawke), Steve (Joe Keery), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton). Eddie and Argyle (Eduardo Franco) are recent recruits (Joseph Quinn).

With Murray’s assistance, Jim Hopper (David Harbour) and Joyce (Winona Ryder), who are adults, are thankfully reunited (Brett Gelman). They just need to return safely to the United States.

However, there are also some terrible guys among all the heroes, and none are worse than Jamie Campbell Bower, alias 001, aka Vecna. The incredibly strong guard is actually very closely bound to Eleven, albeit with much more vicious inclinations. He now consumes individuals who have experienced trauma and guilt, breaking their bones each time.

Max is the only one who has so far managed to escape his grasp (thanks to Kate Bush, of course), but we’re interested to see how this plays out.

The gang will probably band together in the season’s final two episodes to defeat the fearsome Vecna, especially now that they are aware of his true name.

Vecna revealed that he was actually 001, the first superpowered infant to be taken in by the facility, during the “Massacre at Hawkins Lab.”

Eleven was among the many offspring with special abilities bred from the blood of 001, who had been chipped and subjected to experiments.

He is also regrettably quite egocentric and even a little bit of a megalomaniac, feeling that his strength proves he is superior to the common person. He found himself sparing Eleven, with whom he had formed a bond throughout his imprisonment in the lab, after killing nearly all the patients and medical staff at the ward for attempting to keep him imprisoned. She, however, turned down his request to assist him in subjugating humanity, overwhelming him and sending him to the Upside Down before running away.

008 is the only other child we are aware of who has lived, and we haven’t seen her since season 2.

Will she come back again?

Let’s be clear: Vecna is going to start with Elle in order to settle some scores.

According to Jonathan’s actor, Charlie Heaton, “The Hawkins narrative this year is absolutely out of Nightmare On Elm Street.” “Seeing the show continue in that direction is extremely exciting.” Indeed it was, and we may anticipate seeing how the forces of evil will bend and twist reality.

The NoES references may have peaked now for season four because not only has the NoES antagonist Freddie Krueger been directly alluded to (by Dustin: “He’s the super burned-up dude with razors for fingers and kills you in your dreams!”), but he has also physically appeared in the narrative in the form of actor Robert Englund, who plays the aged Victor Creel.

However, the final two episodes of the franchise may potentially draw inspiration from it. As long as we avoid going in the direction of Freddie Vs. Jason—that would be taking the trip down memory lane too far.

Even though these hormone-racked teenagers are in control of the fate of the planet, they are nonetheless experiencing love triangles. The most persistent fan theory is that Will Byers is struggling with his sexuality and has affections for Mike, Eleven’s lover and best friend.
