My Master Has No Tail: Action
The fantasy story is set in Japan’s Taisho period (1912 – 1926). In it, the story follows Mameda, a Tanuki girl with transformation abilities who dreams of becoming a human. Mame changes her outer appearance into the face of a human girl with raven black hair and goes to the bustling city of Osaka. People immediately see through Mame’s transformation, however, and one woman even calls out to the downcast girl, “Go back where you came from.” It turns out that this woman named Bunko is herself a supernatural being who has transformed into a Rakugo storyteller. Mameda asks Bunko to become her master and teach her how to play a human.
