Ah, the God of Mischief strikes again! Loki fans can breathe easy knowing that the beloved character will be back for season two. It was already confirmed in the end credits of the first season, but it’s always nice to have reassurance.

Of course, the burning question on everyone’s mind is: when will we get to see it? According to Marvel Studios big shot, Kevin Feige, season two will be available to stream on Disney+ during the summer of 2023. So, mark your calendars, folks!

In the meantime, we can always try to manipulate time and space to speed up the wait. Maybe a visit to the TVA can do the trick?

It’s clear that the cast and crew are just as excited for season two as we are. Tom Hiddleston himself expressed his gratitude to the audience for their support and hinted at the “possibilities” for the new season. And we all know what that means – deep, deep, deep discussions are already underway.

But let’s not get too ahead of ourselves. Writer-producer Michael Waldron has already warned us not to expect the show to get any weirder than season one. After all, we’ve already seen an alligator sipping wine out of a kiddie pool – where else can we go from there?

Despite the potential limitations, the creative team is always pushing boundaries and exploring new ideas. Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige even confirmed that season two is currently in development. Whether that means they’re still writing the story or already filming, we’ll just have to wait and see.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Wilson said that Loki Season 2 might debut at the end of Summer or September. He also teased that the show will “get very wild” and that fans will love the new character played by Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan, who joined the cast as a mysterious ally of Kang.

Wilson also confirmed that he and Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki, will appear in a scene with Jonathan Majors, who plays Kang, in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The scene was shown in one of the credits scenes of the movie, which is set to hit theaters on July 28. Wilson said that the scene is a “little shot” from Loki Season 2.

Loki Season 2 will also see the return of Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer, Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, and Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15. The show is expected to explore more of the multiverse and its consequences for the MCU, as well as Loki’s personal journey and his relationship with Mobius and Sylvie.

Loki Season 2 Cast: Who will be in it?

Marvel is sticking to its usual secretive ways when it comes to their plans for Loki season two. Of course, Tom Hiddleston is on board – because let’s face it, what is Loki without Loki? Filming for season two is happening in London, which is convenient for the title star. According to Hiddleston himself, it seems to be a happy accident, as he revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The entire cast is set to return for the follow-up season, including Lady Loki, alligators sipping wine from kiddie pools (probably), and definitely more Casey. “Yes, yes, you can look forward to more Casey,” said Cordero, who plays Casey, in a statement to CBR. However, the actor can’t tease much because of the strict password and passcode protection on the script pages. Despite this, he’s excited to do more, but unsure of the capacity he’ll be a part of it.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw will also reprise her role as Ravonna Renslayer, but she has no clue what’s in store for her character. “Honestly, I genuinely don’t know where it’s going,” she admitted in an interview with Digital Spy. “I feel like there’s so much potential, especially when you’re dealing with time, as Renslayer does, you know? So, yeah, I don’t know.”

Mbatha-Raw did reveal that season two is going to be bolder and more surreal, taking viewers to bigger, bolder places than season one. In the show, Ravonna is a powerful presence, and Mbatha-Raw is excited that her character made it out of the TVA.

The following cast members are expected to return, given how season one ended: Tara Strong as the voice of Miss Minutes, Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, and Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie. Wunmi Mosaku is also confirmed to be returning as TVA Hunter B-15, and Jack Veal may reprise his role as Kid Loki at some point, whether it’s in a second season of Loki or some kind of Young Avengers project.

As if one Loki isn’t enough, fans are hoping to see the return of Richard E Grant’s Classic Loki, complete with his iconic Golden Age comic book outfit. Grant himself has expressed interest in reprising the role, despite the character’s dramatic sacrifice to help Sylvie and Loki escape The Void. “Everything’s possible,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “But how do you top that if he had to come back? I have no idea.” Blindspotting star Rafael Casal has also been spotted on set, though Marvel has yet to confirm his casting and his role is being kept tightly under wraps.

Kate Dickie, known for her role in Game of Thrones, has been cast as a villain in the upcoming season, but Marvel is keeping her role a secret. Meanwhile, Ke Huy Quan, of Everything Everywhere All at Once fame, has also been cast in an undisclosed role. Quan made a surprise appearance at Disney’s D23 Expo last year, where exclusive footage from the new season was screened.

As for the creative team behind the show, director Kate Herron has confirmed that she will not be returning for the second season. “I think for me, that’s where my head’s at really, is just focusing on this,” she told Collider. Along with Michael Waldron, Herron played a significant role in shaping the show’s direction, but she always intended to only direct the six episodes of season one. “I threw everything I loved about Marvel at it,” she added.

Finally, fans are hoping to see Lovecraft Country’s Jonathan Majors return as He Who Remains, and possibly even more versions of the character. The possibilities for season two seem endless, and we can’t wait to see what surprises Marvel has in store for us.

Most of the main cast from season 1 is expected to return for season 2, including:

  • Tom Hiddleston as Loki
  • Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie
  • Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius
  • Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer
  • Eugene Cordero as Casey
  • Tara Strong as the voice of Miss Minutes
  • Jonathan Majors as variants of He Who Remains/Kang

We also know that some new actors have joined the cast for Loki season 2, such as:

  • Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once)
  • Kate Dickie (Game of Thrones)
  • Rafael Casal (Blindspotting)

However, we don’t know yet who they are playing or what their roles will be.

There are also rumors that Chris Hemsworth might reprise his role as Thor in a cameo or voice role.
