God Eater Season 2 Release Date
The original anime series was produced by Ufotable and aired from July 2015 to March 2016. It’s been more than 6 years since the anime was released and so far there has been no confirmation on whether there will be a God Eater Season 2. Production is yet to begin on the anime. Two more video games have been released from the franchise, but there has been no word on the sequel.
What to Expect in God Eater Season 2?
The original anime series takes place in 2071 where an organization known as Fenrir helps humanity and the NAU (New Asian Union) fight against monsters. They use divine weapons called ‘God Arcs’ against the Aragami/monsters.
These ‘God Arcs’ are wielded by the chosen group of soldiers called ‘God Eaters’. Things change dramatically when a new God Arc is developed, Lenka Utsugi, one which can switch between canon and blade form.
Now, as one of Fenrir’s greatest weapons, Lenka must master his God Arc and fulfill his desire to wipe out the Aragami, once and for all. The Fenrir are the only ones remaining between the Aragami and humanity. With plenty of source material from the video games, it’s only a matter of when and not if, God Eater Season 2 were to ever happen.
