The story of Domestic Girlfriend or Domestic na Kanojo is about Natsuo Fujii, who is a high school student who falls in love with his teacher, Hina. His love is unrequited. But life didn’t just stop there for Natsuo, as he stumbled upon a different girl named Rui Tachibana. Rui seduces him to have a relationship with her. Barely knowing much about her and she not wanting to develop anything serious between them, Natsuo is forced to believe that he has betrayed his love. He is soon frustrated.

However, things become even more complex when Natsuo realizes that Rui is none other than Hina’s younger sister. Both the girls are the daughters of his father’s new beloved woman, Tokiko Tachibana, whom his father soon wants to ask for marriage. The first season of Domestic Girlfriend aired on January 12, 2019, on MBS. The series is adapted by Diomedea studio, and Sentai Filmworks has licensed the anime in North America.
