Here are some of the top 10 iconic character ranked from worse to best from Sex and the City

10. Mr. Big

The character of James John Preston aka Mr. Big played by Chris Noth in Sex and the City was one of the eye-pleasing characters for the ladies but a bit confusing. Big was simply a character that clouded Carrie’s idea of love. He indeed was in love with her but never acknowledged it. His start in the series was quite good but later half he used Carrie for his needs. Big should have been clear from the start that he was looking for a fling but kept sweeping Carrie off her feet. He married a beautiful girl but divorced her knowing that he loved Carrie. He also left Carrie at the alter being the biggest day of her life.

9. Richard Wright

The businessman with everything still needs validation that he is the best. The character was quite straightforward but broke Samantha’s heart when she was actually in love with someone. Though he tried to improve one a cheater is always a cheater.

8. Carrie Bradshaw

The columnist for New York Star and Sex and the City writer is an example of delusion. She had a lot of men in her life who respected her, loved her but she chose a self-centered man over a genuinely sweet guy. She had friends who kept her away from narcissistic men like Big but she accepted being heartbroken, ruined a marriage, and on top of that lost a man who deserved to end up with her. People might call her perfect but not good.

7. Robert Leeds

The character Robert Leed, a sports doctor in Sex and the City was quite good but loved Miranda as she still got feelings for Steve. Robert was genuinely in love with Miranda but could have known that a kid always brings the family together. Knowing about Steve, he should have left her but love tends you to do all stupid things. It’s Miranda’s fault too as she always denied her feelings for Steve and realized it later when she broke Robert’s heart. Robert too showed his anger at first but got back in the game fast.

6. Natasha Naginsky

HBO Max/Just Like That

A beautiful 5’10 woman working for Ralph Lauren got caught up in the messed up relationship between Carrie and Big. She married Big and is the sole person who suffered more than anybody else. The character was profoundly a specimen used by the markers to make viewers believe that she ruined Carrie and Big’s love but actually gave a good treatment(pun intended) to their affair and found love again. Thankfully!!

5. Magda

The maid got on Miranda’s nerves. She used to police her to behave like a homely girl but also accepted the way she was. She brought Miranda and Steve together.

4. Aidan Shaw

If a poll is done who should Carrie have ended with; many would vouch for Aidan from Sex and the City. The guy deserved to end up with sex and the city columnist but she chose Big. Aidan Shaw was a great person, but Carrie was not able to see that. She broke his heart and tuned him quite cold later when they returned together. He wanted to get married and have kids but it again scared her and we don’t know why.

3. Steve Brady

The bartender in Sex and the City who loved Miranda more than anybody else, Steve, was head over heels for Miranda. Miranda was always a strong one who did what she loved but was kind enough to let Steve in her life. He made mistakes but never let her down. After knowing that Miranda was now a lesbian(Just Like That), he simply let her out of the marriage. He deserved more than he got.

2. Miranda Hobbes

HBO

Miranda Hobbes, went to Harvard Law and was good lawyer but when it comes to love, that department had low scores than her SATs. She was not very lucky in love and throughout the show, she would end-up in something weird but Steve really changed her perception of love. She had great friends and was the judgmental one but loved all the people in her life the most. She never showed any girly thing or attribute like the others did but had a heart of a girl who wants to be loved.

1. Samantha Jones

HBO

The diva of Sex and the City, Samantha Jones is the best character ever. She has portrayed the character of a woman who loves herself and uses man as disposables. She loves her job and friends. She has always kept herself first rather than other. She was never afraid to display her sexuality in the open and was confident in love. The character brought out a lot what a modern woman is now and was loyal to her lovers in a one-night stand thing. Her absence in Just Like That put a lot of question that its one of the important character in the series and she will come back in season 2.
