Showrunner Steve Blackman confirmed in a Twitter post that The Umbrella Academy Season 4 of the superhero series will only have six episodes instead of the usual ten. The popular Netflix series “The Umbrella Academy” is based on the comics of the same name by “My Chemical Romance” singer Gerard Way, which is why it’s possible to speculate about what might happen next even without any information about a further season. In an interview with Forbes in 2020, Way revealed that he was currently working on a fourth comic. The new issue also already has a title: “Sparrow Academy”.

Another version of Ben is seen in a subway in South Korea. He is reading a book with a smile, but it remains unclear what this Ben is all about. That this is not the Ben of the Sparrow Academy, one may currently strongly suspect. Because from the style of dress and behavior can be recognized strong differences. So is there another Ben or is it the Ben of Umbrella Academy?
Radiotimes has come up with a clever thesis in this regard: Because Reginald has assumed that his adopted children will die in the creation of his new world, he has planned for more versions of them. However, they are never adopted by him and thus live with their actual families. If this theory is true, the “real” Hargreeves will possibly meet their doppelgangers* and fans can already look forward to an Amish Klaus.
The Umbrella Academy Season 4: Will the cast return?
The group photo released at the start of production (see above) shows the Hargreeves family united. Viewers can look forward to a reunion with Klaus (Robert Sheehan), Luther (Tom Hopper), Alison and Co. For the big series finale, the cast list will be refreshed a bit: According to Variety, Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally, who will embody the academic couple Gene and Jean Thibedeau, are new.
