The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart Season 1 Episode 2: Thornfield

June shows little Alice around Thornfield Flower Farm. Being traumatized by the incident, Alice has lost her ability to speak but communicates through signs. She wanders around and finds an old burned house. June immediately escorts Alice out of the house and asks her to never come back here again.

Alice bonds well with Candy, the adopted daughter of June and Twig. She notices that Candy has a similar scar on her hand, as her mother did. From time to time, Alice keeps having visions of Agnes and feels her presence on the flower farm.

One day while visiting the nearby river, Alice almost drowns. This reminds of her the time when Clem had pushed her off the boat when she was young. She is rescued by Oggie, one of the former Flowers’ son. Meanwhile, June and Twig are worried about Alice.

The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart Season 1 Episode 2: June Hart

Alice has another one of her panic attacks. Meanwhile, John looks more into the criminal record of June and finds some interesting things. John’s wife, Sally, goes behind his back to get more information on June so that she can win custody of Alice.

Alice asks June if her mother, Agnes was ever at the farm, to which she denies. Although June claims that Agnes was never at Thornfield, at every turn, she feels more of her mother’s presence.

Alice finds herself in trouble after her first day at school, where she fights back against bullies. June herself has her fair share of problems, as she gets harassed by the local cops and also gets beat up by Paddy while protecting Stella. June and Twig are worried that such incidents could lead to her losing Alice to Sally.

The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart Season 1 Episode 3: Sally Morgan

A lot of interesting things happened towards the end of The lost flowers of Alice Hart season 1 episode 2. John is upset that Sally went behind his back to intimidate June. He understands the pain of losing a child but tells Sally that this is not the way to handle things. He begs Sally to tell him why she is so invested in Alice but she doesn’t.

One day John comes back to find Sally waiting for him with a wooden figure of Gemma, their dead daughter. He recognizes the wooden figure to be one of Clem’s works and asks Sally to tell him why Clem was carving their daughter. Sally finally speaks out and tells him that Clem was the real father of Gemma.

While at Thornfield, Alice finds a book with a letter. The letter was written by Clem to Agnes. She is devasted when she reads the letter and realizes that Agnes was here all this time and her grandmother was lying to her.
