Shark Tank’s 14th season will premiere on September 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. It joins the fall ABC (Rake Season 6) lineup alongside Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, Abbott Elementary, The Rookie, The Rookie: Feds, Bachelor in Paradise, and Celebrity Jeopardy.

Shark Tank will still be broadcast every Friday at 8 p.m., but the season 14 premiere will be a little different because it will be the first live episode ever.

According to ABC, the show will feature all six of the “original Sharks,” however this is not entirely apparent. Kevin Harrington, one of the original Sharks, hasn’t featured on the show since the second season, although Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner first appeared as guests before switching to the main rotation of hosts.

The current major hosts are probably the six ABC is referring to, but we’ll keep an eye on things and let you know when we’re sure who will be presenting on the live broadcast.

The main objective of Shark Tank is to give aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to pitch their business idea to the sharks in the hopes that one of them would make an investment and support the growth of their enterprise. Sharks will frequently compete for a product if they like it, but if not, no one will usually make an offer, and the entrepreneur is free to go without finalizing a deal.
