Disney+‘s original series Shadow Detective Season 2 cast list and air date have been made available.
Kim Taek Rok (Lee Sung Min), a seasoned detective, becomes a murder suspect following a cryptic phone call in the second season of Shadow Detective. The series attracted attention for its compelling plot and the outstanding performances of its veteran performers.
From Season 1, Kyung Soo Jin and Lee Hak Joo will continue to play the characters of Lee Sung Ah and Son Kyung Chan, the faithful underlings of Taek Rok. They reemerge in the violent crimes unit as more capable investigators and face a number of fresh difficulties. Supporting actors Go Gyu Pil and Hyun Bong Sik, among others, will return for Season 2.

Soo-jin also disclosed that Lee Hak-joo is just like his character Son Kyung-chan, a detective who tries to secure a transfer to the same police station so that he can work with Taek-rok. Just like his character, she said that Hak-joo arrived prepared with his script and had taken notes of what he was going to say. He didn’t, however, perform to the best of his abilities.
Hak-joo smiled when asked how similar he and his persona are; he said, “I believed it was only 10%. However, when I’m speaking on stage, I’ve realized that it might be close to 100%.
What should you know about Shadow Detective Actor Lee Hak-Joo?
After making his acting debut in the 2012 short film Sweet Sorrow, Lee Hak-joo went on to appear in a number of TV and film projects. He portrayed Kim Seul-gi’s younger brother in the tvN drama Oh My Ghostess in 2015. Additionally, he played supporting roles in the 2019 KBS2 drama Justice and the 2018 tvN drama Memories of the Alhambra. In the popular JTBC series A Couple’s World, where he played an abusive boyfriend to Shim Eun-woo’s character, he had his career breakthrough in 2020. For this role, he received an Excellence Award at the 28th Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards.
His role in Shadow Detective was everyone’s favourite and he will be back on 5th July on Disney+ with Shadow Detective season 2.
