Servamp Season 2: Will it ever get renewed?

Don't miss

Will there ever be a season renewal of the anime series Servamp? Will we ever get Servamp Season 2?

Servamp is one of the few anime that belongs to the action and supernatural genres as it revolves around the theme of vampires. Aimed toward the josei demography, the series Servamp narrates the story of Mahiru Shirota as his life suddenly turned from a normal one into a battlefield of vicious underworld battles. All of this became possible after he picked up a cat that revealed itself as a lazy shut-in vampire.

Servamp began life as a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Strike Tanaka. She began publishing the manga in the first issue of Media Factory’s Monthly Comic Gene magazine on June 15, 2011, where it was initially entitled Eve and Servamps. As of now, the chapters have been collected into nineteen tankobon volumes, released by Kadokawa. However, the manga had once entered a hiatus state due to the author’s poor health in February 2017, but luckily, she managed to fully recover and resume publishing the manga series on April 15, 2017.

The manga series Servamp was announced to be adapted into an anime series in the August issue of Monthly Comic Gene. The adaptation was produced by mainly two studios: the studio Brain’s Base, which is utterly famous for its popular anime releases such as Durarara and Oregairu, and the studio Platinum Vision, which has released a famous music-related anime entitled Kono Oto Tomare.

The anime series Servamp premiered on July 5, 2016, and ran for twelve episodes before concluding on September 20 of the same year. In addition to the series, a movie entitled Servamp Movie: Alice in the Garden, was aired on April 7, 2018. After the first season and movie have ended, many of the fans are craving to see the continuation of their beloved series. So, what is the renewal status of Servamp Season 2? Has the production team said anything regarding a sequel?

As of now, unfortunately, neither the studio nor anyone from the production team has said anything regarding a sequel. With that being said, Servamp Season 2 still remains a mystery up to this point.

Servamp Season 2: Will it be possible?

Despite the lack of official information, Sevamp Season 2 might still be possible in the future. The main reason is that the anime series has only covered the first five out of nineteen volumes of the manga series, so there will be more than enough source material for another run. Also, the manga series is still ongoing up until now, so there will be more chapters to be published.

However, many users on the internet, especially the Reddit thread, said that Servamp Season 2 would be out of the question. It was said that the anime rushed everything and it ended with a decent ending, so it would not be necessary to make a season renewal.

At the end of the day, all we can do as a fan is wait. And please keep in mind, although there is still a possibility for a sequel to be released, you should not have high hopes for Servamp Season 2. However, in case there will be an announcement in the near future, we will surely update this article accordingly.

Servamp Action

Mahiru Shirota firmly believes that simple is best and troublesome things should be avoided at all costs. It is troublesome to do nothing and regret it later—and this ideology has led the 15-year-old to pick up a stray cat on his way home from school. As he affectionately names the feline Kuro, little does he know that this chance meeting will spark an extraordinary change in his everyday life.

One day, Mahiru returns home to find something quite strange: a mysterious young man he has never seen before. His subsequent panic results in the uninvited guest being exposed to sunlight and—much to Mahiru’s shock—transforming into Kuro! Upon revealing himself as a mere lazy shut-in vampire, Kuro promises to leave once night falls. However, one disaster after another leads to Mahiru accidentally forming a contract with his new freeloader, dragging him into a life-threatening battle of supernatural servants and bloodthirsty beings that is anything but simple.
