On the official Twitter account of the anime adaptation of “Reign of the Seven Spellblades” (jap.: “Nanatsu no Maken ga Shihai Suru”), it was announced that it will air on Japanese television starting in July 2023. A new trailer and visual for the series can be found below.

“Reign of the Seven Spellblades” is being directed by Masato Matsune (“Chaos Dragon”) at studio J.C.Staff. Shougo Yasukawa (“Food Wars!”) is responsible for series composition, while Takehiro Suwa (“Combatants Are Dispatched!”) contributes character design.
The Japanese voice cast includes Atsushi Tamaru (Hiromi Sugita in “Erased”) as Oliver Horn and Yuka Nukui (Ginny in “Interspecies Reviewers”) as Nanao Hibiya. Riho Sugiyama (Kazuko Morinaka in “Junji Ito Maniac”) voices the character Pete Reston.
“Reign of the Seven Spellblades” was penned by Bokuto Uno and has been published by Japanese publisher Dengeki Bunko since September 2018 with illustrations by Ruria Miyuki. Ten volumes have appeared in stores to date. The work is available in English through Yen Press.
