Who is Joy Boy in One Piece?
‘Joy Boy’ is the man who has left behind the treasure known as ‘One Piece’ on the last island of the Grand Line. He was first mentioned in the Poneglyph read by Nico Robin while at the Sea Forest. As per the recordings, it was believed that Joy Boy would return after 800 years which Zunesha confirms after hearing the ‘Drums of Liberation’.
As per one of the messages on Poneglyph, Joy Boy apologizes to the people of Fish-Man Island for breaking his promise and proclaimed that someone would fulfill it in the future. Could this someone be Luffy? Hopefully, we get to know more in the upcoming episodes.
Zunesha, the elephant who carries the island of Zou on his back, was affiliated with Joy Boy 800 years ago. Zunesha compared Luffy’s heartbeat to the sound of ‘Drums of Libertaion’ 800 years ago. Could it be that Luffy is Joy Boy?
