She is a mess, but Devi is a kind of mess that’s why we love her. Introduced to us as a sophomore dealing with the loss of her father, Devi relies on the support of her friends, family, and therapist to navigate through her challenges.
Now, as a senior, the pressure is higher, mistakes are costlier, and time is of the essence as she sets her sights on her long-standing goal of getting into Princeton. The whole plot revolves are the life of Devi vishwakumar.
Maitreyi originally belongs to Tamil just like her on-screen character. She resides in Mississauga, Ontario . At just 20 years of age, she is all set to go to Toronto’s York University. She changed her major from theatre to human rights in the year 2021.
Poorna Jagannathan as NALINI VISHWAKUMAR
Dr. Nalini Vishwakumar is Devi’s mother, a character who embodies both sternness and well-intention. Her love for her daughter is evident, and she constantly strives to provide the best for Devi. However, her parenting style can sometimes be perceived as cold and restrictive. It’s important to recognize that, like Devi, Nalini is simply doing her best in the challenging role of a mother.
Despite their occasional clashes, Nalini’s actions are driven by her deep-rooted desire to ensure Devi’s well-being and success. Her complex character adds depth and authenticity to the dynamic between mother and daughter in the show. Poorna is an established artist. Her most notable work is in season two of Big Little Lies and HBO’s The Night Of, where she appeared as Safar Khan.
Darren Barnet as PAXTON HALL-YOSHIDA
Paxton, one of Devi’s romantic interests, has endeavored to showcase that there’s much more to him than being the star of the swim team and the object of everyone’s admiration on campus. With his high school graduation at the conclusion of Season 3, this beloved heartthrob has set his sights on becoming an aspiring heartthrob in college, continuing to navigate life’s challenges and opportunities with his unique blend of charm and compassion.

Leading Sherman Oaks High’s robotics club and having constructed a robot companion named Gears Brosnan, she adeptly navigates the world of STEM as a queer woman of color. Despite her academic pursuits, Fabiola also maintains an active and fulfilling romantic life of her own.
Ramona Young as ELEANOR WONG
Eleanor, the vibrant and stylish member of Devi and Fabiola’s friend group, exudes a captivating fashion sense at all times. Despite her mother’s abandonment in pursuit of an acting career during Eleanor’s younger years, she remains determined to follow in her footsteps. With massive dreams and a personality to match, Eleanor brings an abundance of razzle-dazzle to their trio. While drama is her primary passion, she also possesses a deep appreciation for romance.
Michael Cimino as ETHAN
Ethan is the new character of this final season. Trailer haven’t expressed the main intention of the character, but fans are very excited to see what new drama Ethan will bring in Devi Vishwakumar’s life.
