The Netflix series ‘The Witcher‘ is about to blow your mind with its third season coming this June. The novel adapted into a full-length series created a huge sensation among viewers and with the new season coming up fans can’t keep calm. With the buzz about Henry Cavill leaving after season 3, fans wondered who will be filling his shoes. Fans don’t feel disheartened as a new savior is about to enter the picture and its none other than Liam Hemsworth, who will be featured in the season 4. But first thing, take a look at the amazing cast of The Witcher Season 3.
Henry Cavill-Geralt of Rivia
The handsome protector from Rivia, Geralt is a Witcher who is birthed from magic and humans(most probably a beast). He possesses powers and is a good swordsman. He hunts monsters and dark magic entities to protect the city from darkness. Even though a Witcher is not allowed to love someone but has a soft spot for Yennefer.
He has pledged to take care of Ciri and protect her from being killed even though he knows that Ciri is a key to chaos. Season 3 is the last for Henry Cavill on the Netflix series.
Anya Chalotra- Yennefer of Vengerberg
The beautiful but powerful mage Yennefer of Vengerberg is a woman with aggression and passion. A half-human and half Elf born, this mage is trained to deceive you for her personal again but loves Geralt. She sacrificed a most valued thing for a woman to become a powerful mage but swore to protect Ciri like a mother.
In season 3, Yennefer will be seen protecting Ciri like Geralt and now her powers are back, she is stronger than ever.
Freya Allan-Princess Cirilla of Cintra
A Damsel in Distress situation fits princess Cirilla of Cintra. The character is played by Freya Allan. She plays this naive character who is protected by Geralt and Yennifer. She is the key of Chaos which was opened once in season 2 of ‘The Witcher‘. Some people with dark intentions want Ciri to open the Gate of Death and this continues in season 3.
Ciri is not the same now. She is trained by the Witchers and knows to protect herself. Season 3 will show how ciri fights her own fights and grows out of her shell as a beautiful princess to a fighter.
Joey Batey-Jaskier
In every dark-thriller fantasy, there’s always a character who is a comedy element in the story, a jester. Jaskier is a singer who meets Geralt out of nowhere and is befriended by him. In season 3 Jaskier has his own story and who knows he finds a lover.
Royce Pierreson as Istredd
The mage who seeks only knowledge. The character of Istredd was introduced in seasons 1 and 2 as one who helps Yennifer with her powers and also loves her in some way. He is seen as a doctor and his character is more of a preacher than an actor.
Anna Shaffer as Triss Merigold
Triss is a mage who was taught with Yennifer in season 1 and also appeared in season 2. She has healing power abilities and has helped Geralt with his injuries and traumas like a good friend.
Kim Bodnia as Vesemir
The head of the Witcher clan. He trained Geralt and the other Witchers to be trained for hunting the prey and killing them in one blow. He also taught Ciri all the martial arts.
