Masou Gakuen HxH is one of the anime series that currently pursues the ecchi subgenre. It fits into a variety of genres, including action, humor, fantasy, romance, and sci-fi, and it shares with the other ecchi anime a harem and school premise.

Masou Gakuen HxH Season 2 Renewal Status
Masou Gakuen HxH’s anime adaption was initially revealed in September 2015. The series’ author Kuji announced on Twitter that a TV series would be created as the adaptation. Production IMS, a company well known for its most well-known anime productions including The Testament of Sister New Devil and the second season of Date A Live, animated the adaptation.
Masou Gakuen HxH was an anime series that debuted on July 6, 2016, aired for a total of twelve episodes, and ended on September 21 of the same year. A special six-episode series that ran from September 30, 2016, to December 21, that same year, followed it.
Because the final episode of the first season ended with a “To Be Continued” notice, it left viewers wanting more. This is fantastic news for the anime series’ future. When will Masou Gakuen HxH Season 2 be released?
Sadly, the studio has already canceled Masou Gakuen HxH Season 2. At first, it was said to be coming out in 2018, and even MyAnimeList has already added it to their list. Masou Gakuen HxH Season 2 has not yet been released, nevertheless, and MyAnimeList has already taken down its entry from the page for unknown reasons. The studio, Production TMS, was shut down on October 11, 2018, as a result of bankruptcy, which is the most likely explanation.
Will Masou Gakuen HxH Season 2 ever be possible?
Yes, there is still a chance for any studio to renew the anime series for another season because there are still enough source materials available for adaptation. Out of the fourteen volumes, the anime series has only covered the first four. However, the light novel series is now over, and to make matters worse, the community did not favor the anime series. It received a 6.15 rating on MyAnimeList, which is undoubtedly not encouraging for the series’ future.
Not to add that the ecchi in later volumes of the novel series became more intense and vulgar to the point where r-18 was required due to explicit sexuality.
Finally, it’s reasonable to suppose that Masou Gakuen HxH Season 2 won’t air again.
