Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: Shoko Ieiri featured in the first season of the anime and will be a prominent face in the second season as it adapts from Gojo’s Past Arc. The upcoming season is the much-awaited sequel to the original series which was launched almost 3 years ago.
In Gojo’s Past Arc, Satoru Gojo and Geto Suguru, who at the time were jujutsu sorcerers from Jujutsu High have been given two missions by Tengen. One of the missions is to escort ‘the Star Plasma Vessel’, Anami Riko, but they are met with an obstacle in the form of Fushiguro Toji, who wants to kill Anami Riko.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: Who is Shoko Ieiri?
Shoko Ieiri is one of the characters in the Jujutsu Kaisen Series. She is a former alumnus of Jujutsu Kaisen High and a classmate of Gojo Satarou and Geto Suguru. Shoko graduated from Jujutsu Kaisen High as a full-fledged sorcerer and soon became the school’s primary doctor.
In the manga, she was close friends with Gojo and Geto. She often made fun of the two and would instigate silly fights between them. Shoko is a carefree character and even confronted Geto after he had turned rogue.
As a doctor for the institution, she has a very laid-back attitude but is also very stoic. When Gojo was upset about Yuji’s demise, Shoko showed no emotions and only wanted to perform an autopsy.
Will Shoko Ieiri return in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2?
Yes, since the anime adapted from Gojo’s Past Arc and also the Shibuya Incident Arc, Shoko Ieiri will return in Season 2. We will see her in scenes with Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru as the 3 were classmates.
In the Shibuya Incident Arc, she has set up a place to help heal the wounded sorcerers. Shoko is the only user of the reverse technique that can help heal sorcerers. Even though she was not much of a combat type of sorcerer, her reverse cursed technique is super rare.
She is invaluable to Jujutsu Kaisen High, as along with her doctor’s degree and the reverse cursed technique, Shoko is a very important asset to the sorcerers at Jujutsu Kaisen High.
The first episode of Season 2 is all set to release on July 6, 2023.
