The American broadcast CW has canceled ‘Gotham Knights’ after the show premiered its first season. The ‘Gotham Knights‘ storyline opened up with enthusiastic youngsters who take over the responsibility to keep crime at bay. The show opened up with a lukewarm response from the viewers and certainly could not make it to a potential season 2. The responsibility of taking care of Gotham City is taken over by these Batman prodigies and children of the Dark Knights’ greatest enemies.

Why Gotham Knights get Cancelled?

The show ‘Gotham Knights‘ had a curious story about what will happen when batman is no more. The show did had the potential to become one of the widely watch show on American television but got negative reviews and was struggling to make any viewership with only eight episodes. The post- Batman era could have been more interesting and looks like makers could bring out their creativity, hence CW cancelled the show.

The producers of the show Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux Natalie Abrams served as the writer for Batwoman which had a great pretty good run on CW with three seasons. Batwoman had widely propelled the viewership and had impressed the comic fans with interesting storyline. . But it wasn’t the same for Gotham Knights characters, ever since DC Studious unified the storyline for DC character far from what CW show had.

Another interesting fact about DC was that ever since Matt Reeves’ The Batman trilogy is announced James Gunn and Safran had become a little picker with the storyline. This means CW had a hard time maintaining TV shows which failed to get viewers.

The series open up with Gotham City turning into a crime city yet again, after Batman is dead. A group of youngsters take up to swipe away the crime and criminals by stepping into the ideologies of Batman.
