Andy Muschietti whose movie The Flash (2023) starring Ezra Miller which is set to release soon is apparently already in talks with Warner Bros. to direct a new superhero movie titled, Batman: The Brave and The Bold
The new Batman movie is based on new DC Studios and features Batman’s son, Damian Wayne. The movie is part of the new DC Studios which is a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery and focuses solely on the DC Universe. James Gunn is the co-CEO of DC Studios.
Who is Damian Wayne?
The new Batman movie will see Damian Wayne as Robin, the son of Gotham billionaire, and Batman, Bruce Wayne. In his comic appearances, Damian is quite a unique character with a slightly aggressive and impulsive nature, but under Batman’s care, he becomes disciplined and develops a sense of justice within him.
Throughout the comics, Robin has been a headline character amongst the Bat-family and comes second only to his dad. He is often seen as a headstrong character and pushes boundaries to Batman’s methods. Damian tries to find his own identity in Gotham while living up to the Wayne family’s legacy.
Batman: The Brave and The Bold (2008-2011)
Apart from making his debut in the comics in 2006, Damian starred in the animated TV series also named Batman: The Brave and The Bold. The series saw Batman and his son, who took the superhero alias of ‘Robin’ fight multiple villains across the DC Universe. The show is based on the classic comics from the 1960s and 70s, involving action mixed with satire and humor.

Andres Muschietti is an Argentine filmmaker who made his directing debut with Mama (2013). Andres had made a name for himself in the horror movie genre, and one of his best works is the adaptation of Stephen King’s novel “It” (2017). The movie was a huge success and he later followed it up with “It” (2019) which concluded the story in a horrifying yet satisfactory way.
Andy has worked with projects related to the DC Universe in movies such as ‘Birds of Prey’ (2020) featuring the famous character, Harley Quinn. Safe to say, Andres has previously worked with Mr.Batman himself, as the character is said to be in his upcoming movie ‘The Flash’ (2023). The role is being played by Micheal Keaton and Ben Affleck who play their respective versions of Batman.
