Ironheart is an upcoming Disney+ Marvel project that is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Ironheart will be part of phase 5 of Marvel and will be a part of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).
The show is being produced by Marvel Studios. Chinaka Hodge serves as the creator and head writer for the show. The series is also produced by Proximity Media and 20th Television. Sam Bailey will be directing the first three episodes and Angela Barnes, the remaining three. Here’s everything you need to know about the miniseries.
Ironheart Release Date
The series was originally scheduled for release in late 2023, but Marvel and Disney+ removed it from the release calendar as they were re-evaluating their content output. Ironheart is all set to release in 2024 as the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikers have affected the production.
The miniseries is set to release in May 2024, no release date has been confirmed but we expect further delays because of the ongoing strikes.
Who is Ironheart?
Riri Williams is a genius inventor who creates the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man. In the Marvel comics, Riri creates her own prototype version of the Iron Man Armor, using materials she steals from MIT.
Tony Stark visits Riri after learning of her accomplishments. She helps him during the Second Civil War. Though we do not expect this to be adapted into the miniseries, considering how Marvel has been lately, we will not be surprised.
Apart from this, most of the plot of the show remains unknown. With production yet to be completed, we do not expect more details anytime soon. Fans are hoping this does not turn out to be another ‘Secret Invasion’.

No official trailer is out for the miniseries as of now. With further delays in production because of the ongoing strikes, we do not expect visuals from the show anytime soon. We recommend fans to watch ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ to catch a few glimpses of Ironheart.
