On the official Twitter account of the anime adaptation of “The Duke of Death and His Maid” (jap.: “Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid”) it was announced that the second season of the series will air in Japan in 2023. You can find a visual about it further down in this article.

However, further details, such as the length of the second season or the contributors to the production, have not yet been revealed. We will of course keep you updated as soon as we have more information.
The twelve-part first season of “The Duke of Death and His Maid” was directed by Yoshiki Yamakawa (“Little Busters!”) at Studio J.C.Staff. Hideki Shirane contributed the script, while Mitsuru Kuwabata (“High Score Girl”) created the character design.
The anime adapts the manga of the same name penned by Koharu Inoue, published on the website “Sunday Webry” since October 2017. So far, 14 volumes have appeared in Japanese stores. A 15th volume has been announced for June 10, 2022.

Duke of Death and His Maid: Storyline
A young duke was cursed by a witch as a child and given the unwanted power to kill any living creature he touches. He was forced to move away from his family and live in a large mansion deep in the woods. He is shunned by his fellow humans and treated as if he does not exist.
But he is not completely alone. Rob and Alice, his butler and maid, are always by his side. Alice loves to tease him, and as their relationship grows closer, the Duke makes it his goal to rid himself of his deadly curse. Of course, he needs help to do so, and who better than the various denizens of the supernatural?
