“Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” will be directed by Keiichirou Saitou (“Bocchi the Rock!”) and produced at Studio MADHOUSE. Tomohiro Suzuki (“One Punch Man”) is penning the script, while Reiko Nagasawa (“takt op.Destiny”) is contributing the character design.
The lead role of the elf Frieren is played by Atsumi Tanezaki, who is already known as Anya from “Spy x Family” or Chise from “The Ancient Magus’ Bride”, among others. Further details on the Japanese voice cast are still pending at this time.
The original fantasy manga is by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe and has been published in “Shounen Sunday” magazine since April 2020. To date, the publisher Shogakukan published ten volumes in Japanese stores.
