Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie’ is an upcoming American comedy, based on the fashion doll Barbie by Mattel. The movie is the first live-action film from the franchise after several animated versions in the past. The film was initially announced in September 2009 but has changed production studios multiple times over the years. Universal Pictures were the original studio before switching hands with Sony Pictures and later to Warner Bros. in 2018.
Hollywood’s favorites, Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, will star in the movie, playing the lead roles. This is the first time we will see the duo together on-screen. The cast also includes America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, and Will Ferrell.
The movie has been an absolute trendsetter online, before its release. Teasers from the movie have been released from time to time and the fans seem pretty excited. The movie also set fashion trends known as Barbiecore which which involves bright neon pink colors.
Barbie will go head to head with Oppenheimer, as Christopher Nolan’s long-awaited masterpiece will be released on the same day, July 21, 2023. These 2 are the most anticipated movies of the year and it will be exciting to see which one comes out on top at the Box Office.
‘I want to go there’ – fans react to Barbie Hospital and Court
Hospitals and Courts are 2 places people are not so keen on visiting, especially for the wrong reasons, however, fans are excited to see new glimpses from the movie. The entire aesthetic of the movie, is very PINK, to say the least, and fans are definitely appreciating Greta Gerwig’s work.

Some, however, did not agree about the visuals of the movie.
Nonetheless, fans are excited to see the real-life action release of the movie. The story revolves around Barbie being expelled from Barbieland for being a less-than-perfect doll, and her quest to find happiness in the real world along with Ken.
Barbie and Brands
In honor of the movie, famous New York luxury retailer, Bloomingdale, has announced their series of Barbie-themed products in association with the film’s release. The brand’s partnership with Warner Bros. Film features an exclusive ready-to-wear collection.
Mattel also unveiled a collection of new dolls based on the actors from the movie, including four iterations of Barbie, two iterations of Ken, and one each for Sima Liu, America Ferrera, and Issa Rae.
