Vinland Saga Season 3 will be happening and it’s only a matter of when and not if. The anime is based on Makoto Yukimura’s manga, ‘Vinland Saga’. It follows the life of a boy named Thorfinn, whose life changes drastically after the death of his Viking Father.
The first season of the anime was produced by Wit Studio, whereas Mappa Studios produced the second season. Mappa is the studio behind Jujutsu Kaiasen, Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan: The Final Season, and Zombie Land Saga.

Vinland Saga Season 3: Release Date
Vinland Saga Season 3 will be happening. With less than 100 chapters from the manga adapted into the two seasons, there will be plenty of source material for more seasons. There is no official confirmation on Season 3 but designer Takahiko Abiru has teased a new season.
Vinland Saga Season 3 could be confirmed by 2024 for a 2025 release. This is just speculation if considering the release pattern for the previous 2 seasons.
Vinland Saga Season 3: Plot
Thorfin and Einar plan to create their world without wars or suffering. If the anime sticks to the source material, we could see an adaptation from the ‘Eastern Expedition Arc’. We can expect a time jump, regardless of the chapter from which the anime adapts.
Vinland Saga Season 3 will not be the final season of the anime, that’s for sure. Vinland Saga Season 2 finished airing on June 20, 2023, so we do not expect the plot details anytime soon.
Vinland Saga Season 2: Recap
Season 1 had quite a dramatic ending. Thorfin spent 9 years training hard, alongside a man, Askeladd, who killed his father. He plotted revenge, only for Askeladd to die at the hands of Canute, the Danish prince.
Season 2 of the anime ended with Thorfinn finally returning home to Iceland. He along with Einar make plans to create their own Vinland, a world without suffering and slavery, but the journey towards that is yet to begin.
Thorfinn has taken a vow that he would never harm another human being. His entire journey to peace is to make amends for his sins from the past. Hopefully, Vinland Saga Season 3, will delve more deeply into his character.
