Vin Diesel has been Dominic Toretto for a very long time. The Fast X franchise has gained international acclaim for its star-studded casts, high-octane thrills, and status as some of the best action films. Recent rumours, however, suggested that there may have been some conflict between two franchise heavyweights, Vin Diesel and Jason Momoa.
A possible dispute with Momoa wouldn’t be unexpected because Vin Diesel has a history of beefing with other cast members. One famous dispute involved Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, which was revealed in an Instagram video that Johnson published in August 2016.
Johnson’s caption in the video, which included behind-the-scenes footage of a jail fight scene, made generalized criticisms of his male co-stars without mentioning any specific names. Vin Diesel, who was also a producer, was quickly discovered to be the intended victim. Other co-stars apparently voiced their disgust with the scenario, including Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Scott Eastwood, Kurt Russell, and even Jason Statham.
According to Screen Rant, after news broke that Diesel was not totally thrilled with Momoa’s portrayal of the villain in the commercial success Fast X, speculation increased. But the xXx actor recently dispelled these rumours and shared his opinions about the Aquaman actor’s performance on social media.
What Vin Diesel have to say about Jason Momoa’s performance in the latest Fast X movie?
The Fast X actor quoted his Instagram post: “April 4th 2025… is less than 22 months away.
I love how expressive and collaborative all of the actors in our franchise feel coming into The World’s Saga. Jason wanted to try something totally unique and special and ended up creating a scene-stealing character that the world won’t forget. Thank you all for showing up like you always do…. 7 billion means nothing if it doesn’t represent the true feeling of family and loyalty.
For those who didn’t know the FastX was just part one, know that part two is going to be an effort from our fast family and studio as you have never seen.
All love…”
Fans can find serenity in the fact that the Fast and Furious series manages to bring its stars together in spite of past tensions. It remains to be seen how Diesel and Momoa‘s connection will continue to play out on screen. Mark April 4th, 2025 on your calendars because it will be the release date of the saga’s next exciting and maybe final chapter.
