The season 3 Vol-2 of The Witcher is finally out now. The fruit of patience is going to bear endless adventure and dark magic in the series. The series depicts the ongoing war between Ciri and other beings. On one side we have Arentuza protecting Ciri and on the other hand, we see Vilgefortz betray Tissaia, and Elves and Redanian soldiers enter the fort. A lot happened in season 3 vol-2, lives lost and hearts weeping for betrayal.

The Witcher Season 3 Vol-2: Plot

The episode begins with where The Witcher Vol-1 ended. Geralt is captured by the Redanian Commander Sigismund Dijkstra with the rest of the mages. They are all gathered together and handcuffed. Dijkstra and Philippa Eilhart conspire that some have helped Stregobor to get something on the bigger motive. This breaks Tissaia’s heart. The elves and Nilfguard soldiers enter with Cahir.

Francessca witnesses her husband getting killed by Tissaia as she unleashes her Chaos. Everything is destructed with swords, blood, and rage. Tissaia seeing this chaos summons the Alzur’s Thunder that strikes everything which comes in its contact. Everything is turned into dust. As Yennefer comes across the seizing of the palace, she casts a spell and enters between the wall to find Ciri. As she tries to find a way out, she is confronted by the mute mage in the Conclave ball and she is being killed by Yennefer.

Geralt gets hold of Stregobor and they duel together and Stregobor breaks Geralt’s bones. He is almost dead but Triss saves him. As Stregobor arrives at the secluded lighthouse where Ciri goes, she finds a crystalized tomb that says something to her and takes her to a deserted place.

Ciri teleports into a desert with scorching sun. She roams day and night to find something but all in vain. She hallucinates her mother and people from the past trying to make her think that she brings death but ignores all. She meets a unicorn who helps her in her distress and she meets Falka.

Towards, the end of The Witcher Season 3 Vol-2 eighth episode, we are again left on a cliffhanger about whether Ciri is saved or not. Ciri has finally become one ruthless and merciless person that people wanted her to become. She kills her first human and calls herself Falka.

The Witcher Season 3 Vol-2: Ending Explained

In the last episode of season 3 Vol-2 The Witcher, Geralt is healing from his injuries as Ciri is captured by Nilfguard. Ciri with Nilfguard will not only powers the Nilfguard but would misuse her. Yennefer is appointed to govern the Arentuza fort and young mages to conquer their powers. All the mages including Tissaia give the missing girls the proper burial and in that time Tissaia is so succumbed to pain that she kills herself.

Geralt is worried about what has happened and tries to regain his ability. Yennefer helps him heal and both promise to save Ciri. Nilguard King and Stregobor by his side welcome Ciri but she is not Ciri. Ciri is captured by a bunch of goons along with another boy. She is released by a bunch of people. She kills the man who captured her and is seen regretting it but she calls herself Falka.

Francesca learns about her baby’s killer The Witcher Season 3 Vol-2

Francesca now starts thinking that all this White Flame and safe place for Elves is just a thing in the past. She is ready to live whatever she has only for people. As Francessca is able to take her vengeance for her brother and husband’s murder; she allies with Nilfguard for the Northern kingdoms. She learns from Fringilla that Emhyr killed her child and wanted to suspect Fringilla for it. Francesca is devastated by this and blames Fringilla for it. She vows to avenge every blood of her family and elves even if she has to kill Fringilla.

Cahir admits his fault and tries to save Ciri

As everything is destroyed by Nilfguard soldiers and elves, Cahir gets Ciri as she is with Geralt. She fights her but Cahir refuses it. He takes all the blame for what he did to her and her kingdom. Cahir accepts that he will help her from being used. Ciri is almost ready to kill him but stops as he asks to forgive him and later helps her run away.

Geralt is left to die but Triss saves him. She takes her to a secluded place in the forest where they take care of him. He is wounded badly and doesn’t have a chance to live but is survived by the people. He meets Jaskier who tells him Ciri is now with Nilguard and this is not good for her. Geralt tries to get up but is not healed properly.

He vows to bring back Ciri and take Stregobor’s head and will be happy with Yennefer and Ciri by his side. Many lives are about to change. Ciri who was protected by Geralt and Yennefer now became a monster herself. She never wanted to kill anybody but she was forced to take that step and calls herself Falka. Will Ciri be saved again? Is Geralt going to once again help Ciri to see what she is? Can Yennefer venge for Tissaia’s death?

All will be answered in season 4, so stay tuned.
