The Quintessential Quintuplets Special was Created at SHAFT
The TV special, which will run for a total of around one hour, was produced under the direction of director Yukihiro Miyamoto (“Fate/Extra”) at Studio SHAFT. Keiichirou Oochi (“My Tiny Senpai“) again wrote the script, while Kazuya Shiotsuki and Masato Katsumata contributed the character design.
The TV special, which features scenes from the original manga template by Negi Haruba that have not yet been adapted into the anime series or sequel film, premiered in Japanese theaters on July 14, 2023. A release outside Japan has not yet been announced.
The twelve-episode first season of the RomCom series is already available in its entirety through publisher Crunchyroll with English and Japanese dubbing on DVD and Blu-ray. The disc release of the second season started on June 16, 2023, while the sequel movie is scheduled for release in the fall of 2023.
