“The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses” is being created under the direction of director Katsumasa Yokomine at Studio GoHands. Tamazo Yanagi (“Hand Shakers”) is handling series composition, while Takayuki Uchida (“W’z”) is responsible for character design.
The romantic comedy stars Masahiro Itou (Kyouya Hashiba in “Remake Our Life!”) as Kaede Komura and Shion Wakayama (Takina Inoue in “Lycoris Recoil”) as Ai Mie, among others. Further details on the Japanese cast are currently pending.
The original manga series was penned by Koume Fujichika and has been published in the shounen magazine “Gangan Joker” since November 2018. So far, ten volumes have been published in Japanese stores.

Unexpectedly, Ai has a tendency to forget her glasses. Having terrible vision, she has difficulty going through her day at school. Thankfully, Kaede is more than willing to help her. As Ai starts relying on him, Kaede’s feelings for her grow even more. Likewise, despite her short-sightedness, Kaede slowly becomes the person Ai always hopes to see.
