If you’ve been waiting for The Exorcist: Believer by Universal Pictures’ official trailer to go online, now is the day. The video released in theatres over the weekend. The Exorcist: Believer’s trailer, which offers our first look at David Gordon Green’s concept for a decades-later sequel to the original horror masterpiece, may be viewed below.
The Exorcist: Believer, starring Ellen Burstyn in a part she originally played in William Friedkin’s spooky horror film from the 1970s, is indeed adopting the Halloween 2018 approach.
Burstyn’s Chris MacNeil is helping a fresh cast of characters in 2023, much like Laurie Strode did in Gordon Green’s Halloween trilogy. The Exorcist: Believer’s first official trailer also indicates that in contrast to Friedkin’s strategy in the classic original, TWO young ladies are, this time around in possession of a demonic entity.

The Exorcist: Believer based on a girl’s life possessed by demon
The Exorcist, a 1973 horror film that was directed by William Friedkin and adapted by William Peter Blatty from his novel of the same name from 1971, horrified viewers. And viewers are still terrified by it. One of the best horror films ever made, The Exorcist is the story of a young girl who is possessed by a demon and her mother’s struggle to free her through an exorcism performed by two Catholic priests. It is also one of the few horror films to receive numerous Academy Award nominations upon its initial release. The thought of doing a direct follow-up seems even more difficult at this point.
The Exorcist: Believer will follow the father of a possessed child and will be directed by David Gordon Green (Halloween, Halloween Kills, and Halloween Ends). He co-wrote the screenplay with Peter Sattler and the story with Scott Teems and Danny McBride. He really needs assistance, so he looks for Chris MacNeil, the mother from the 1973 original, who has gone through similar circumstances.
