The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 3: What We Know So Far
Before we get into the third season’s plot, let’s go over what happened in the first and second. Chise Hatori did not have a happy childhood as her father abandoned her and her mother committed suicide due to mental illness. Since then she has been passed around by family members who were no longer friendly to her and eventually decided to sell herself at auction in the hopes that someone would take her in. Unexpectedly, a wizard named Elias Ainsworth teleports her to another world and tells her that she will be his apprentice. The series has quite some similarities with Star Wars Mandalorian.
In the story, Chise is revealed to be a Sleigh Beggy, a mage who attracts various magical creatures. After several encounters, Elias falls in love with her. However, Cartaphilus kidnaps Chise to break his curse, leading her to absorb his immortality curse to balance the dragon curse. Elias promises to be with her forever. While it appears that the story is ending, the next season will cover the College Arc from the manga. Chise will enroll in a magical institution as a student, and we may see her rise in the academy ranks. With her dragon and immortal curses, there may also be some romance to look forward to.
