After the separation news of the two, in an exclusive interview with Page Six, Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello reveals they have made a “difficult decision” to part ways and settle for divorce.
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
Joe’s lawyer, Laura Wesser, filed legal docs late Wednesday citing the usual irreconcilable differences. The docs reveal there is a prenup, and they will each keep the assets they accumulated during their 7-year marriage.
Sofia celebrated her 51st birthday without Joe
Sofia Vergara, who last week clocked her 51st birthday, is currently in Italy travelling and enjoying with her friends. She shared a string of posts on Instagram but none of them featured Joe. On July 11, a day after Sofia’s birthday Joe wished her on Instagram. Sharing their photo, he simply wrote, “Happy Birthday Sofia!!!” Nevertheless, Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello tied the knot in Florida in November 2015. It seems the friendship still exists even if the marriage doesn’t.
