Following a breathtaking debut season that had viewers speculating around the clock about the identity of the “Friend,” Detective Kim Taekrok is back for more jaw-dropping drama in Shadow Detective season two, premiering exclusively on Disney+.

After more than a year and a half had passed since the “Friend” vanished, Detective Taekrok has recently been assigned to the police department’s Women and Juveniles Unit. Before Taekrok can get comfortable in the role, a strange explosion that destroys Geumo City yanks him once more from his regular existence. Taekrok identifies the explosion as what it is—murder—even though it was initially thought to be an accident. However, the more he looks into it, the farther he gets sucked into an impossibly complex web of deceptions and conspiracies.

Lee Sung Min as Kim Taek Rok

Actor Lee Sung Min is from South Korea. In both cinema and television, he is best recognized for his supporting parts. He received critical acclaim for his work in “Broken” (2014), “Golden Time” (2012), and “Misaeng: Incomplete Life” (2014). Lee’s performance in the 2018 spy movie “The Spy Gone North” has also garnered praise from critics. He will be playing the main lead in the upcoming season 4 of Shadow Detective.

 Jeong Jin Yeong as Ki Do Hyung

South Korean actor Jeong Jin Yeong is well-known for his outstanding performance in the film The King and the Clown. For his performance in The Kingdom of The Winds, he received the 2008 KBS Drama Awards – Mini Drama Excellence Award (Actor), the 1998 19th Blue Dragon Film Awards – Best Supporting Actor, and the 1999 36th Daejong – Best Supporting Actor.

An accomplished actress from South Korea is Kyung Soo Jin. In 2011’s “New Tales of Gisaeng” television series, she made her acting debut. Following supporting parts in the dramas “Man From the Equator” (2012), “That Winter, The Wind Blows” (2013), and “Shark” (2013), she scored her first major role in “TV Novel: Eunhui,” for which she received several Best New Actress nominations. Since then, she has appeared in the dramas “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” (2016-2017), “Secret Love Affair” (2014), “Plus Nine Boys” (2014), “House of Bluebird” (2015), and “Melo Holic” (2017).

Joo Jin-mo in supporting role

Actor Joo Jin-mo is from South Korea. He is best known for his main performances in the motion pictures Happy End, 200 Pounds Beauty, and A Frozen Flower, for which he received the Grand Bell Award for Best Supporting Actor, the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Actor, and the television program Empress Ki.
