‘Saw X’ is an upcoming American Horror film. The movie is the tenth installment in the Saw Film series and is a direct sequel to ‘Saw’ (2004) and a prequel to ‘Saw II’ (2005). In April 2021, a tenth installment of the movie was reported to be in development.
Filming began in late October 2022 and ended in February 2023. The movie is being produced by Twisted Productions, and Lionsgate has the distribution rights for the film. ‘Saw X’ is set for a theatrical release in the United States on September 29, 2023. The film was originally set to release on October 27, 2023, before Lionsgate announced at Comic-Con 2023 that the release date is being moved up. It’s been almost 19 years since the first Saw film was released.
What to Expect in Saw X?
The events in Saw X take place weeks after ‘Saw’ (2004). John Kramer, the main antagonist from the series travels to Mexico after learning of a potential ‘miracle’ cure for his terminal cancer. However, he soon realizes that is a scam.
Along with his apprentice, he captures the con artists and subjects them to a horrifying new series of traps. Will anyone survive? We hope that the film does justice to the original movies which were a blend of horror with dark comedy.

The film follows a nonlinear narrative where the victims of the Jigsaw killer, the main antagonist must cause harm to themselves to survive. In this first iteration of the movie, we look into the lives of his latest victims, who find themselves trapped in a large bathroom, where they must kill the other in order to save themselves.
The first movie revealed that John Kramer was the real Jigsaw killer. The film ends with John leaving the bathroom and leaving Adam for dead. He says the infamous words of Jigsaw Killer, ‘Game Over’ before sealing the door.
