Saw X new trailer DISAPPOINTS fans

Don't miss

Lionsgate has unveiled the first trailer for Saw X, and the newest installment in the horror franchise has already thrown some Easter eggs. The initial Saw X synopsis was made public by the studio prior to the release of the sequel’s trailer, and it confirmed that Tobin Bell’s John Kramer will screw with the timeline and that the events of Saw X will take place between Saw 1 and Saw 2. This crucial point, which the trailer clearly emphasizes, lays the door for Saw X to contain franchise Easter eggs alluding to the events of the subsequent films. The Easter eggs from the Saw X trailer are broken down below.

The Saw X trailer also indicates that they will go back to “the bathroom” from the first Saw, as the Saw franchise has always wanted to do. Although the scene’s background is unclear, the franchise will ostensibly be adding another nuance to the legend of that filthy tiny chamber.

Saw X trailer indicates a connection with previous franchise

Even though the original Saw, which debuted in theatres back in 2004, received mixed reviews at the time of its release, it is still regarded as the franchise’s greatest film overall. The Saw saga is still going strong, as Saw X is going to bring Tobin Bell back as John Kramer, a.k.a. Jigsaw. “What a thrill to be reuniting with Tobin,” Saw X producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules earlier said in a statement regarding the appearance of Tobin Bell. “His portrayal of John Kramer is an active part of this movie, and his performance is part of the magic that made this franchise a phenomenon.” You can watch out the trailer.

Saw X will have multiple-star cast

The confirmed cast for Saw X also includes Synnve Macody Lund (Ragnarok), Steven Brand (The Sandman), Michael Beach (S.W.A.T. ), Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernande, Joshua Okamoto, and Octavio Hinojosa. Having previously helmed Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter in addition to editing six further films in the franchise, director Kevin Greutert is also making a comeback to the series to helm the film.

Saw X is described by Lionsgate as follows: “John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is back. Jigsaw’s most private game is examined in the gruesomely frightening Saw sequel.

According Movieweb, Between Saw I and Saw II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a hazardous and experimental medical treatment in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer, only to learn the entire operation is a scam to deceive the most vulnerable, according to the press release. The notorious serial killer returns to his work “armed with a newfound purpose, turning the tables on the con artists in his trademark visceral way through devious, deranged, and ingenious traps.”

Fans share their disappointment with the latest Saw X trailer

Fans are not so enthralled by what appears to be a familiar figure and one of the best Jigsaw apprentices calls the movie boring and overhyped: Detective Lieutenant Mark Hoffman’s creepy monologue in the recently released video. The second apprentice to John Kramer, who was portrayed by Costas Mandylor, had a tremendous impact on the series, acting as both a subsidiary antagonist in Saw IV and the primary antagonist in Saw V, VI, and 3D. It’s interesting to note that Costas Mandylor’s voice appears to be used for a line of dialogue in the trailer.
