On the official Twitter account of the comedy series “16bit Sensation: Another Layer” it was announced that it will start airing on Japanese TV in October 2023. A new visual for the announcement can be found further down in this article.
16bit Sensation: Anime to be created at Silver
“16bit Sensation: Another Layer” is being directed by Takashi Sakuma (assistant director on “Sword Art Online: Alicization”) at Studio Silver. Tatsuya Takahashi (“Vermeil in Gold”) is penning the script, while Masakatsu Sasaki (“TONIKAWA“) is contributing character design.
The Japanese voice cast includes Aoi Koga (Kaguya in “Kaguya-sama: Love is War“) as Konoha Akisato and Atsushi Abe (Kouichi in “Another”) as Rokuta Mamoru. Ayako Kawasumi (Saber in “Fate/stay night”) takes on the role of Kaori Shimoda.
The original manga series was penned by Tamiki Wakaki and has been published on the “Comic Walker” website since December 2016. The publisher KADOKAWA published two volumes in Japanese stores so far. The work is currently not available in German or English.

Storyline:
Meiko Uehara, a university student in the early 1990s, has a part-time job at a computer store, which turns out to be a producer of erotic games.
Meiko, who is very good at drawing, is then asked to support these productions by creating erotic illustrations for the games.
