Mighty Ducks – Game Changer” Season 2 is coming back to Disney+. The series gets reinforcement from “Jupiter’s Legacy” star Josh Duhamel, who leaves his superhero suit at home.

The Disney+ series “Mighty Ducks: Game Changer” will return to the streaming service with season. In the new episodes, however, fans will have to say goodbye to Emilio Estevez as Gordon Bombay. In his place will be Josh Duhamel (“Jupiter’s Legacy”) as the Ducks’ new coach.

Mighty Ducks: Game Changer: Release Date

When exactly the 2nd season of “Mighty Ducks: Game Changer” will be released on Disney+ is still unclear. According to the US magazine Deadline, filming is scheduled to begin in early 2022. Therefore, we can probably only expect the new episodes at the end of 2022.

Mighty Ducks: Game Changer: Cast

In season 2, Emilio Estevez will not be reunited as Gordon Bombay, reports the US magazine Variety. The reason is said to be a mandatory Corona inoculation.

ABC Signature, the production company of the series, mandates a Corona vaccination for all cast and crew members. Since Estevez did not confirm his vaccination, his contract was not renewed.

Neither Estevez nor Disney commented on what happened. How his character will be written out of the series is unknown.

All other cast members from Season 1 are expected to return in the new episodes.

Josh Duhamel (“Jupiter’s Legacy”) will take over as coach replacement. Duhamel will play Gavin Cole, an early NHL player who takes over coaching the Ducks. Inspirational, charming and tough as nails – that’s how his character will be described, leading the intense summer field hockey institute that the Mighty Ducks will land in Season 2.

Mighty Ducks: Game Changer: Plot

What exactly awaits the team in season 2 is not yet known. The Don’t Brothers couldn’t participate in the championship and could take their chance in the second season. Upcoming could also be another game against their rivals, whom they beat handily in the previous season.

Coach Bombay, however, will be leaving the team. At a summer camp, they will meet their new coach, Gavin Cole, a former NHL pro. Here the Ducks, strengthened for the championship, could learn not only a few things for the game, but also for life.
