Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel returns: New series reveals she’s the Strongest Avenger

Captain Marvel is back on the big-screen.

Don't miss

Captain Marvel aka Carol Danvers is all set to make a comeback in October in an upcoming series. The Marvel superhero will be donning a new costume as part of the new series which will be written by Alyssa Wong and Jan Bazaldua.

The new Captain Marvel #1 sees the superhero in a new costume which is based on artist Jen Bartel’s Hellfire Gala design. The revamp comes as a part of Captain Marvel’s new adventure against an omniversal entity that is yet to be named.

According to the writers, the new entity sees Carol as the only threat to its vision of total annihilation. In the series, we will see her fight against the entity along with a new supporting cast as well as villains.

“I’m so excited to be writing Captain Marvel!” Wong said. “Carol is such an iconic character with a rich history, and I can’t wait to add to her story. It’s an honor to work with Jan and I hope everyone enjoys what we’ve got coming!”

“Captain Marvel is one of my favorite female characters, that’s why I’m very excited to draw her,” Bazaldua added. “I have always seen her as a very self-confident woman with nothing she cannot face, and not just because she has superpowers, but because she has inner strength. That’s what I really enjoy about her and why I really appreciate this opportunity!”

Captain Marvel – New Superpowers

According to the writers, we are to witness the strongest form of the superhero yet. Among her various superpowers, Captain Marvel can enter her most powerful state, named ‘Binary Form’. By tapping into the energy of a white hole, she becomes exponentially stronger, with near-limitless cosmic energy at her disposal.

So it only makes sense that when the entity who plans on Universal annihilation, takes care of the strongest obstacle in its way first. Combined with Superhuman strength, flight, energy projection, photonic blasts, and Binary Form, Captain America for sure is one heck of an obstacle.
